(203) 869-6899. This National Historic Landmark owned by the Greenwich Historical Society was home to one of Connecticut's first art colonies and features interpretive rooms from two distinct time periods-the New Nation (1790-1825) and the Cos Cob Art Colony (1890-1920). The collection includes works by artists of the Cos Cob Art Colony and other noted American Impressionists. The library and archives contain historical documents, photos and ephemera pertaining to all aspects of Greenwich history, and the Storehouse Gallery features exhibitions that change throughout the year. We are a certified Landscape Architecture Continuing Education (LACES) Provider. Annual events: May Gardeners' Market, June's Grandiflora Garden Tour, and Dazzling Dahlia Show. A Gallery with changing exhibits, a working greenhouse and walking trails. GEC Hours: Mon. – Fri. 9 -4; Greenhouse House: Mon., Wed. – Fri. 10 – 2.

The Garden Education Center is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to promoting horticulture, conservation and the arts through educational programs, outreach activities and special events. This 200 acre property with walking trails is an outlet for the New York Botanical Gardens. Several large annual events include: the May Gardeners' Market and June's Grandiflora Garden Tour.  A Gallery offers monthly changing art exhibits and a gift shop, and greenhouse are on the grounds. The shop is open Mon.- Fri. 9:30 am - 3:30 pm and the Greenhouse is open Mon., Wed., Thurs. and Fri. 10 am- 2 pm and is closed Tues. The facility is also available for meetings and social events for up to 75 people.
